prismacolor pencils are so NICE. They blend and color so smoothly and they layer really well. prismacolors are so pigmented too, like the white colored pencil actually works well. Although the color range is limited in certain sets and a true like variety would cost lots of money, the basic tin has a good range of colors and with some knowledge of color theory you can make any of the colors in the limited set work ut nicely if you know how to execute it. And what's really amazing about the colored pencils is that even if you color with a dark color the lighter color may still show through despite the dark first layer. This makes it really easy to make cool color pallets and cool effects with just colored pencils. You would also need to know how much pressure you should apply so that way you can get a smooth blend.
