As the end of the school year is approaching, i feel a lot of the classes i'm in have been super interesting. In my world history class i am learning about world war 1, the reason why it happened, and who was apart of it.  The cause of world war one was the assassination of archduke franz ferdinand, this causes countries to start choosing sides and making alliances which was what eventually lead to the beginning of world war one. There were two different sides, one called the triple alliance and one called the triple entente. The triple entente was made up of Great Britain, Russia, and France, and the triple alliance was made up of Germany, Austria-Hungary, and italy. The United States was said to be in the middle and not choose a side but because the U.S. was good friends with Russia and Britain the U.S. chose their side and sent them weapons, bombs and other items as well. The U.S. sent stuff to both sides but favored the triple entente which got Germany, because of this Germany got mad and started blowing up U.S. ships which them caused the U.S. to join the war and side with Britain. After the U.S. joined the war it became to much for the opposing side which caused Germany to end the war.
