According to an LA Times News cite covid is rising in California due to FLiRT sub variants. It's to early to see is this new FliRT variant will have a major change in the covid picture, and if the effects can have impacts. The FliRT variants have overtaken the winter variants, fro the two weeks the variant has been discovered it is estimated to account for 50.4% of the nations coronavirus infections. Doctors are saying they aren't seeing drastic effects of ill people and covid levels are remaining relatively low. The main protection to this virus similar to the coronavirus is vaccines. Doctors are urging people to consider getting an updated vaccination, at least one dose for ages 6 months and older, and 2 doses for those 65 and older. Unfortunately Covid seems to be a continuos wave that scientists can not estimate but we can only hope for the best and continue to be up to date with vaccinations.
