what is going on 

The coronavirus or Covid-19 for short can kill people or give them the flu. There are 2,384 deaths from the virus and there were 135,502 confirmed for the virus. There are some people that can recover from the virus there is 4,378 people that recover from the virus. Old people are the people that suffer the most from the virus because they can't handle how long they have the flu from the virus.

It's newsworthy because it can spread awareness of the virus and it can tell people what's happing.
