‘Hardest, saddest’ days ahead in coronavirus outbreak, surgeon general warns’
This is the title that I first saw on the article in the LA Times April 5, Sunday afternoon.
In the U.S the death toll neared 10,000. Surgeon General Jerome Adams said, “The coming week would be the hardest & saddest of the American lives.”
President Trump said, “We are starting to see light at the end of the tunnel.” However, Officials say that the Coronavirus wave is at its peak.
Who should we believe? this article is already having speakers contradict themselves.
New York city is the National Epicenter of the outbreak. The New York Governor said that the daily death toll is slightly decreasing. When the Governor spoke about the Center of the Disease Control (CDC), he mentioned how unorganized the CDC has been about this whole situation.
Other countries have had more control on this virus. They shut down their countries right away. The U.S. has come across complications and most of the American People refused to stay home.
As I read this article the feelings that come to me are fear and sadness. I fear that the virus is overtaking humans and sadly the people that have been infected are no longer alive. There are survivors but just like this article, they are only focusing on the negative impact the virus is leaving behind. All we can hope for is that we can keep ourselves and our family safe by quarantine and practicing social distance. Whether the virus is at its peak slightly dropping we can only hope that we all survive this outbreak.
