A Story on Palm Sunday

I was washing the donkey that I have been using for delivering food and water. I was minding my own business until I heard a loud roar from the gates of Jerusalem. I was wondering what was going on because this isn’t usual in many places. I thought to myself that it could be a king trying to conquer Jerusalem. I was very scared and wanted to see for myself. As I was walking to the gates, I noticed joyful cheers and music. I was relieved that it wasn’t an attack, but that just made me think more questions about it. I asked a fellow neighbor of mine. He said that the Massiah is coming through our gates. I soon realized that this celebration is for the Massiah. I was so curious about what he looked like. I imaged a strong and brave man on a warhorse, but as I got closer to the gates, I can make out what I see. I don’t see a strong man, but an average male. I didn’t see a warhorse, but a donkey. I was so confused about how this man is being celebrated if he isn’t a strong, brave man. It was a weird thing to celebrate, but then the man looks at me and says that he has defeated the devil and saved us from sin. That is when I knew, he is the Son of God.
