I've done all-star cheer for 8 years of my life. I love it because I've made so many of my closest friends through my sport. A lot of people don't understand all the time and effort it takes to be in the sport. I have practice four days during the week, Monday through Thursday. Once we start competition season, they add weekend practices that are usually 3–4 hours, depending on the coach. Our season starts in early July and ends at our last competition in Orlando, Florida, in the first week of May. We travel all over the country for competitions, from Texas to Colorado to Florida. This is very expensive and not included in our monthly tuition. Cheer takes a lot of my time, becoming my only hobby and sport. I love what I do and what comes with it. I love being able to travel to different states with my closest friends and being able to create different memories at each competition. Creating different bonds and memories with all my teammates is the best part of my sport. I look forward to competition season and going back to the same competitions to create even more memories. In my opinion, I believe I do one of the best sports there is.
