It was a wonderful and bright day on June 21st. Nothing seemed to be able to turn the direction of today. The flowers outside were bright and cheery. Samatha had gotten a wonderful sleep last night, the best she had ever had. In fact, she woke at 11 in the afternoon. She had no school today, and she would be visiting her favorite carnival with her bestie Elani. Everything was going so well, her outfit was planned perfectly with her favorite sweater. When she arrived at the carnival at 3'clock. Elani greeted her with excited smiles, waves, and jumps. They hadn't seen each other ever since Samatha moved schools. They first went to the carousel next to their favorite place to get filled with churros and delicious ice cream. Out of the corner of Samatha's eye, she saw a man from the window staring at her with sinister dark eyes. When she looked back, nothing was there. She ignored it and got her snacks with Elani. They made conversation about the latest that's been happening. Elani mentioned that her distant cousin, Derek, had died recently, he had mysteriously disappeared one night. and was later found dead one month later. He had single-handedly ripped his eyes out in the middle of a supposedly haunted forest that makes people go crazy. Derek lived alone in a rural alone in his house, which was a couple of miles away from that very same forest. Elani knew him, but they never talked because he didn't like to socialize and was aggregated very easily. She said, "He was crazy so idk". They had a good time after that, they went on the Ferris wheel a million times and went onto the tea cups until they threw up. Laughing so hard, their ribs started to hurt. It wasn't till later that they realized someone had been following them around, waiting near the rides. But always disappeared into the crowd. When Samatha went to the restroom while Elani grabbed some chips from the snack bar, she had taken an extremely long time. So long that Elani started to get worried. She went back to look for her, but she was nowhere to be found. Then, unexpectedly, she saw the back of Samantha's hair running into the playhouse. Elani ran after her but when she entered she no longer saw her. As she walked through the obstacle of the ball pit with standing poles, she heard indistinct whispers. As she walked she Samantha again. Elani called for her, and she disappeared again when she turned the corner. Elani thought she was just joking around and just messing with her. She said, "This isn't funny; I was so scared when you hadn't come back from the restroom." Then suddenly, there was a loud scream, and she sprinted to find Samantha, panicking. In the hall of mirrors, she saw an intently smile on Samantha's face that looked so menacing. "Okay, now that's weird," Elani said. She saw the reflecting and distorted smiles on the mirrors. It began to make Elani feel uneasy. On Samantha's face, there were dark red and bloody gruesome scars growing on her face. Her skin had blotches and large veins enlarging over her body. It became discolored and changed from a peach to a blue-gray. Samatha spoke very fast and loudly in a foreign language. Elani screeched and tears fell. She was in shock at what she saw. It was disturbing to see her friend turn. Elani became lightheaded and dizzy. Slowly, she was going unconscious, and everything went pitch black. In the background, Samatha was saying a growling low voice D-E-R-E-K...
The end.
