“The Book of Life” Is my favorite movie of all time for numerous reasons, now let me explain to you why it is my favorite of all. The movie includes romance, anticipation, family, and the life lesson of being honest/true to yourself by working hard instead of taking the easy way out. Ever since I was little, I remember always getting excited to rewatch “The Book of Life” with my cousin and a bag of microwavable popcorn in hand. I have watched the movie many more times than I could even count, but it still remains just as entertaining as the first time I watched it. I always loved the story with Manolo going through everything just to be with Maria. I’ve enjoyed the drama and anticipation that arises when Maria is just about to marry Joaquín while Manolo is returning from the dead. All of the characters caring for each other, and understanding that they just wanted the best for each other helps me love this movie. The story is beautiful and representative, all while still including a lot of lessons about not giving up, living your life the way you want to, cherishing family, being kind and courageous, etc. The movie taught me a lot of values and made me happy overall. I even adore the artstyle  in the movie as they depict the story of the past using wooden figures. I am very passionate about everything in “The Book of Life” and I could go on and on about why it is my favorite. I never feel bored while watching it, and I really recommend you to give this a watch as well. This movie holds a special place in my heart and I thank you for listening to my rant on why “The Book of Life” is my all time favorite movie!
