Abraham and David were two people chosen by God to follow his path in greatness both their stories are great
Abraham:
Abraham was a person chosen by God. Abram and Sarai were old and living with relatives in a land called Haran. The lord spoke to Abram and told to leave Haran and his relatives for a new land chosen by god and the lord also told him that he would have many descendants, and that they will become a great nation. Abram and Sarai did what the Lord told them to. The lord guided them to a new land. At Shechem, a holy place in the land of canaan The lord spoke to Abram again and said “I will give this land to your descendants” Abram built an altar for the lord at that place. Years later the lord spoke to Abram again and said “Look up at the sky and count the stars, if you can your descendants will be as numberless as these”. Abram trusted God's promise. Later when Abram and Sarai were very old God spoke to them again and said “My promise to you is that they will become nations. I will be your God and the God of all your descendents”. Abram changed his name to Abraham which means father of many nations and Sarai changed it to Sarah which means Princess and God also gave them a son named Isaac.
David:
Saul was a leader. Saul was sad so he sent his servant to go find a talented harpist to cheer him up. The servant replied with “The youngest son of Jesse is a good musician” so David was brought to Saul. Saul’s spirit was lifted in Davids’s company. David became a loyal friend and soldier to Saul. David soon after became a powerful ruler over Israel for many years with God beside him. There was a beautiful woman named Bathsheba she was married to so David sent her Husband, Uriah, into battle and later Uriah was killed. Then David married Bathashba and had a son but soon after birth he had died. God didn’t like David’s actions. David asked for forgiveness and later had a baby named Solomon.
