It has been past a year since I started painting, and I'm impressed with what I've made so far. I've made a Disney painting, an LA skyline silhouette, and recently a What If one. I wish I had started sooner because I found it to be the most relaxing thing ever! Frustrated out of your mind? Grab a brush and paint a canvas in navy blue to make a moonlit ocean. Been sad recently? Paint what you feel and all of it will flow out. But it was recently I paired full-blast music with painting and found great results. It's simple, paint what you imagine in a song, and it comes out great! For example, I was listening to What If by Cody Fry and I thought a butterfly would be fun to paint because the song was about flying. I found a music video for it, and I was right! I got the butterfly from the video and a picture frame from the desk and made a painting of the butterfly flying out of the frame surrounded by the blue light from the other side. I then got my brush along with a pencil and hit them together to make a cool splatter effect. It works wonders to let me create new things and try techniques I wouldn't normally do. If you think you could let out some creativity in this world, then grab your favorite medium(crayons, colored pencils, markers, etc.) and draw something you think of when listening to your music! You may be surprised by what you create.
