On September 17, 2023 the Washington Commanders faced the Denver Broncos in the Empower Field at Mile High located in Denver Colorado. The Broncos were playing well throughout the  beginning of the first half of the game leading 21-3. Unfortunately, Russel Wilson, quarterback for Denver, fumbled the ball and the Commanders recovered it. This led to the Commanders scoring a touchdown and put the Broncos into a slump. By the end of the third quarter the game was tied 24-24. Towards the end of the fourth quarter the Commanders were leading 35 - 27. The Broncos only had a few seconds to tie the game with no time outs. Wilson threw a Hail Mary scoring them a touchdown but, they needed to score a 2-pt conversion. In the end, the Broncos didn’t score and they lost 33-35.
