Since forever (the start of this school year), I have not heard or seen anything regarding a class pet in all of my classes. I believe it would be a very good idea for our classrooms to have a class pet for many reasons, for example:having a class pet could help the class bond over the animal, having a class pet around can lower stress of students by having a type of companion nearby when working, a class pet can provide an outlet for free time where the students can enjoy themselves visiting the class pet. The class pet can give students something to look forward to when going to school. Teachers can motivate students to complete their work with prizes like getting to feed the class pet for the day as well. I would love for my classes to include a pet for the better of students. I promise that including some type of class pet in your classrooms will help everyone feel more comfortable and in place at school. If you are a teacher I would highly recommend to get your students a class pet. Your students will thank you, and so will I.
