Dead Girls Don’t Lie

In the novel “Dead Girls Don’t Lie” by Jennifer Shaw Wolf a teen girl Jaycee experiences traumatic events like her best friend Rachel passing away in a drive-by shooting. Jaycee and Rachel grew up together and were really close. Since the girls were young, they were inseparable. However, after a small problem involving a boy, they begin to separate little by little. Rachel and Jaycee began to talk less and less. Then a tragic event happened that left Jaycee in a huge amount of regret. Her best friend was murdered. It was at this point in time that Jaycee realized she should have forgiven Rachel. Jaycee saw Rachel in the casket and all of Jaycee was filled with guilt.  Before Rachel died she left Jaycee a note that says she should only trust “E” and to not trust the police or anyone else. Jaycee then finds the note and only to find out “E” is Rachel’s other friend Edwardo. She then thinks Eduardo is the murderer of Rachel and Manny. But later finds out she is wrong about Eduardo being the murderer. Then Jaycee thought  Skylar seemed to be the perfect match for her, he looked as if he truly cared for her but little did she know he was the exact opposite of what she thought. Skylar used their relationship to cover up not only the murder of Rachel, but also Rachel’s boyfriend, Manny. Although the relationship between Jaycee and Skylar seemed true it was a fake friendship and also shows that people are not always what they seem . Skylar acted all sweet and innocent, but what Jaycee didn’t  know was that he had mental issues and let his emotions get out of control. Skylar turns completely crazy and reveals his true self and tries to kill himself and Jaycee in a fire in the old house where he murdered Manny. after all that happened Jaycee realized that she should have trusted Rachel and Edwardo
