Danganronpa: The most morbid game Ive ever seen

I really love this game called Danganronpa. The characters are so well written, and you just find yourself invested in every moment. But my god, this game is so incredibly gory and morbid. The first game, Trigger Happy Havoc, starts with our young optimistic main character, Makoto Naegi. He meets all of his classmates, totaling the group into fifteen highschool students. They were told they were attending Hopes Peak Academy, a school for Ultimates. Ultimates are people who are exceptionally great at what they do., the best of the best. But as soon as it starts, they are told they will be forced into a killing game, where the only way to leave is to murder another student and get away with it. If you get caught or found out in a trial, you will be executed. If not, you will run free and the rest of the class will die. In order to convince them to play, the "leader" of the game, Monokuma(a black and white robotic bear.) shows them tapes of their old life. Makoto's consists of fhis parents and younger sister, congratulating him on his entry, despite having no Ultimate. Then, suddenly, it cuts to both of his parents, hanging. Obviously he is mortified, and in total shock and fear. Next to him, his childhood classmate, Sayaka Maizono, the Ultimate Pop Sensation, cries out in fear and anguish. She wails about not wanting to die, and Makoto reassures her that he'll protect her and she won't.  And surprise surprise, she's the first one dead. She is found the next morning stabbed to death in Makotos bathroom, since they had switched rooms due to Sayakas anxiousness. During the confrontation with Monokuma, another student dies due to attacking the bear, Junko Enoshima, the Ultimate Fashionista. During the trial, they find out originally Sayaka was going to attempt to murder a student and place the blame on Makoto, which was the reason she had insisted on switching rooms. The culprit, Leon Kuwata, the Ultimate Baseball Player, is caught, since Sayaka had written a letter to him asking to meet up. He was executed, by being chained to a pole and being bombarded with thousands of baseballs. That was the first of many executions, and a total of four class trials happened before the final trial. Only a total of six students remained of the original fifteen, including Makoto. The survivors consist of Toko Fukawa, Ultimate Writing Prodigy, Aoi Asahina, Ultimate Swimming Pro, Byakuya Togami, Ultimate Affluent Prodigy, and Kyoko Kirigiri, Ultimate Detective. As they unravel the truth of the killing game, they realize that a student was missing from their class, one that showed up in pictures Monokuma provided. They realized a secret student was hiding in the shadows, and that they were the mastermind of this entire game. The game was being broadcasted to the world, ever since it had been plunged into despair, by the Ultimate Despair. She is revealed to be Junko Enoshima, the girl who had died in the very first chapter. Except, she wasnt. The girl dressed up as Junko was revealed to be her sister instead, Mukuro Ikusaba, the Ultimate Soldier. They fight in the final class trial, and show that they had blindly excepted to be part of Danganronpa, thinking they would be shielded from the outside world filled with despair. They eventually win the trial, and Junk Enoshima is executed. They escape Hopes Peak, and hope to save any survivors from despair. The game continues in the following games, 2:Goodbye Despair, and V3:Killing Harmony. Overall, this game is super interesting, and I would reccomend it to people who like morbid games like this.
