El Dia De Los Muertos goes back to the Atzecs
where they just don’t celebrate loved ones that had
past on for one day, they celebrated for 3 days.
The days celebrated are October 31 Halloween till
November 2 called All souls day aka dia de los muertos.
The rituals features marigold flowers, skeletons, altar(ofrenda) with loved ones pictures that have passed on, there favorite fruits, drinks and bread called pan de muerto. This brief period the souls of the dead awaken and return to the world to feast, drink, dance, and
play music with loved ones. My mom loves dia de los
muertos and always has her ofrenda up everyday not
just that special day. Here is a picture of her Ofrenda.
