Venezuelan independence day is celebrated on june 24 of every year. It began with Carabobo battle, which was led by Simon Boliviar on June 24, 1821. It freed venezuela from spanish control. 6500-8000 men striked in Carabobo, outnumbering royalist forces. Although this wasn’t the last fight for independence, it marked the decline of spanish control in south america.
