This past week the Los Angeles Dodgers signed a new player, Ohtani for an astounding amount of 7 hundred million dollars to be payed over ten years. This is the biggest contract ever to be paid to any athlete. Is this something that should be happening when there are so many people in the city if Los Angeles that are homeless? It is very depressing that one person is being paid one hundred million dollars a year to play a game. It has become the normality for athletes to be paid millions and millions of dollars in their contracts. People such as doctors who are actually saving lives do not get paid nearly as much as athletes. There should be limits set to what athletes a paid.
