1.)Her contribution was to really help women on getting the correct health care and to make it equal for colored and white women. Birth control was not afford to colored women instead they would use sterilization in puerto rico,Helen found that wrong and she wanted to make a change so she joined a women's movement that was happening about getting the health care they needed at the time. She attended meeting about topics surrounding abortion,birth control,and equal health care in general for women, to stop abuse against them. She started learning about the struggles on the different levels of earning like for example the white middle class women would still have to fight for birth control but they would get it and lower class colored women didn't even have a chance on getting birth control even around them. She studied that and realized that a change had to be made in the system and that's exactly what she did.
