December 20th, 1943 an american B-17 Flying Fortress was severly damaged by German BF-109 fighters the B-17 flying fortress was missing some parts of the tail and fussaloge and the pilot Charlie Brown had trouble keping the bomber in the air then he got unconches and the bomber went down but one minute later he woke up only a coulpe feet away from the grown he managed to lift it back up again. a german BF-109 was behind the bomber pilot Franz stigler was the pilot of that Bf-109 but stigler saw how damaged it was and then he made a dageres choice he flou escourt with the american he never talked about it but Charlie did after the war Charlie and Stigler became friends but that toke a long time then they both told the story of what happend that day.
