Stars are like the universe's twinkling lights, scattered across the vast cosmic canvas. They're born in nebulae, which are these incredible, colorful clouds of gas and dust. Over millions of years, gravity pulls the material together until it's so dense and hot that nuclear fusion starts. That's when a star begins to shine! Our sun is a star, too, and it's the reason we have life here on Earth. But stars come in all sizes and colors, from red dwarfs to massive blue giants. And when they die, they can go out with a bang in a supernova, or collapse into a black hole. Some people even say that we are made of star dust so if anyone tells you your a star you are! Stargazing is like looking back in time, because the light from those stars has traveled for so long to reach us – it's mind-blowing!
